UFF Commissioner
The UFF Judges acknowledge that live exhibition battles do not necessarily reflect the most accurate outcome of a battle, given the time constraints, the intricate complexity of story development, arguments, and assets, the need for quick/impromptu decision-making for debater’s and judges, among other circumstances. Furthermore, in live exhibition battles points for Combat Threads and Intel Threads are not calculated. Instead, the debater’s either reach a mutual conclusion or force the Judge to determine the outcome of contested event(s) on what Would happen in order to progress the story forward and maintain the flow of battle. Therefore, conclusions drawn in live exhibition battles heavily rely upon what both debaters agree upon (Assumption Criterion 2) and the Judge’s decree.
